Fall. fAll. FALL. fall.........SEPTEMBER!

September.

I can't believe it's already September.
Where does the time go? I honestly find myself year by year feeling confused as the months pass by faster than I can turn the calender pages. Could it be true what our parents always told us? As you get older the years get shorter and shorter, I sure hope not.

Whatever the case may be, it's time for FALL! Now, just yesterday Tanner and I were walking home from target (we live right behind it, yes... it is amazing.) We were talking about how the chilly air is so refreshing, but we are suprised how early it's come this year. I told him I didn't mind so much because fall is my favorite season after all. We had a bit of a "tiff" as we like to call them. He said that Fall was his favorite season and Summer was mine. I reminded him quickly that he was quite wrong. Fall has and always will be my favorite season.

I am a Michigan girl through and through, and I can almost bet you if you ask anyone from MI what their favorite season, they will tell you Fall. We are natural born Fall lovers. It's a gift, a blessing even. Michigan in the fall is perhaps one of the most beautiful sights you can behold. Don't believe me.. I'll show you!

Told ya! I would give anything to live there again, if only for the fall months. Reason you ask? Well the list is endless but I can rattle off a few. Frist and foremost:
Cider mills. Oh dear friends, how I adore the cider mill. I do believe it has a special place in my heart. Utah doesn't have cider mills. It's the single most depressing thing about this wonderful palce! How can the people of Utah have grown up without visiting the cider mill yearly? I ask my husand this all the time. I mean, if there is one place built for a mormon family to visit, it's a cider mill. Pumpkin patch visit, sugar doughnuts, carmel apples! I have to stop before I get too excited. Alyse and I have visited the cider mill togther every year and the year before last I was lucky enough to be in Michigan just in time for Halloween which meant, yes, we went to big red! It was a joyous occasion. Speaking of all hallows eve, there comes my next reason I love fall.........
Halloween. Now, I have to say since I moved to Utah and left my best friends behind Halloween has not really been anything to write home about. It's been so so, but nothing compares to a Halloween spent with me and my friends. We for some reason became obsessed with this holiday around our senior year of high school. It was our favorite time of the year and we planned months in advance to come up with the best costume. Yes, we were halloween conosoirs.
I mean, come on!

Never the less I still love Halloween. I didn't have the chance to experience the singles scene in Utah much, considering Tanner and I started dating about three months after I moved here but I did have one Halloween here as a single girl living in Provo. It was a blast. So, for the single girls out there Halloween in Utah is bomb.com for us Marrieds or dating seriously ladies.. not so much luck. I do get jealous of the single people I see that go to the sick Halloween parties that are all around Utah every year, so this year I told Tanner that we are going to one. No excuses. We get to have fun too! We are going as Edward and Bella. Classic. Yes, I love it. And luckily so does my hot hot husband. I am very pleased. We also tossed around Harry Potter and Harmine. I loved the idea of Katchup and Mustard but was quickly shot down. ha ha
Carving pumpkins. Who doesn't love this activity? Plus it's great for couples or dates. I know we are all into those. Carving pumpkins not only allows one to display their artistic ability with pride but also provides the perfect opportunity to let your imagination soar! Can I hear an amen!
Hoodie weather. Personally, I don't think there are many things in this world more comfortable than a good hoodie on a chilly day. Add some hot coco to that and you have something that is close to a cure all. With hoodie's come sweat pants and my oh my am I am fan of those. I also love fall because for some reason this gives you a express pass to chow down on as much candy as you possibly can, and let's not forget doughnuts. I mean, what better concept can one come up with? A day when you are given loads of candy? and it's all yours to eat over the next 12 months (if you can stretch it out that long, or if you have the most amazing neighbors ever.) Yes, I love the fall. This year, I have found myself missing high school a ton! When we walk outsid and the air is just the slightest bit nippy, and dusk is just coming on I find myself feeling the way I felt while on the way to the Adams football games! Or after I graduated sitting outside on the porch to listen to the drum line and the score from my house! I miss coaching my little redskins girls too. This was always around the time the season was coming to a close. Those were good times! Well I will make a promise, now that my Macbook pro is in my posession and that I can easily upload my pictures I will be a blogger again. I know how much you all miss me!

Happy September everyone!
