April 2009... I promise to update more from here on out

Well I have not posted anything since February so that means I have about 4 months to catch everyone up on. I'm going to to better from now on... I promise!I guess I will skip March and go to April? Sounds good! In April, I took a much needed trip home to Michigan for Easter. It was a sad month for the Dudek family and my extended family as well. My Aunt Margie passed away this month after suffering a massive heart attack. She was in her late 80's, but that does not do much to lessen the pain. Aunt Margie was like a second grandmother to me, and my sister (My Grandma on my Mom's side had Alzheimer's for many years before she passed, so while she was there in body she wasn't in spirit) My Grandma has had a very hard time mourning the loss of her older sister, but has taken comfort in her eldest sister Mary as much as she can. I can never remember a time when my Aunt Marge was unhappy, and if she was, it was usually at my Dad or Grandpa (they, like me, know how to push all the right buttons!) She was known to flash us the bird every once in a while, swear at ya, and possibly even insult your physical appearance, but even with all that, even with the sly remarks and finger giving moments that she loved you. Dearly, and more then you could ever imagine. I will miss her so so much, I can only take comfort that she is now with loving souls who are teaching her what I know to be true. I pray everyday that my family WILL be together forever. And I trust in the Lord that he will bless me with that happiness. This month my second cousin Paula also passed away after her battle with blood cancer. While this was sad for our family it also brought us peace, knowing that she is no longer in pain. Paula battled Cancer for quite some time, through all the surgery's, the pain, the prayers and the tears, she always had a great attitude. My Cousin Paula always carried herself with great confidence. I admire her strength and miss her greatly also. Coincidentally enough, both my Aunt and my Cousin passed away on the same day. One very early in the morning, and one late that night. They will forever be missed and cherished.

My parents thought it best I not attend the funerals and in stead come in for the Easter Holiday. I was so happy to hear that, and excited to see my family and friends. I miss my grandma SO much. I miss my parents too. It was so fun to be in Michigan this time, and to spend so much time with my family. Although my f
amily are not members of the church, they are amazing people with true charity and love for all Gods people. I always say I was raised in the church of "be good to people" and I can tell you that's t
otally true. I have realized so much this year that I am my fathers daughter. I am his clone (at least in spirit) ha ha. While I was home we took family pictures. Jerry Farber is a friend of my Dad's and an ama
zing photographer.

He was kind enough to do hundreds of shots for my family free of charge. This one, is me taking a picture of a picture. Sorry for the poor quality. I'm so proud to be a Dudek, and to know who I am! I think that was super cheezy but oh well.

I was also able to spend a lot of time with my friends and and catch up with my girls! We watched the Michigan State game, and laughed harder then we had in years. I was so excited to see my friends. ALSO, I was beyond stoked to go to B Dubbs!
